Big News! 🏆 New Patent Pending - Proof Of Unique Personhood For User Authentication, Bot Detection, and Quantum Safe Encryption

ABSTRACT

A method for proof of unique personhood for user authentication, bot detection, and quantum-safe encryption is described. The method asks users to designate a drawing of one or more points and/or lines that will serve as proof of their unique personhood and as any one or more of the following: a unique passcode, user authentication method, quantum-safe encryption seed, and bot detector. Measures of the mark itself as well as measures of the cadence (stops, starts and pauses) of how the user drew it, and the natural human variations in how the user draws the mark over subsequent visits are stored, rather than thrown out, and used to train adaptive and machine learning algorithms to recognize the unique human user as well as for creating quantum-safe encryptions keys, passwords, and for preventing bots and artificial intelligence entities from creating or accessing accounts and critical data.

Timing Is Everything – Blockchain And The Transformation Of Industries

We first heard about blockchain and its associated cryptocurrencies in 2012. These two concepts are closely linked, but not the same. What we find most interesting is the massive potential for blockchain itself to revolutionize business processes, outdated industries and entire sectors of the economy by reducing expenses while increasing reliable tracking and reporting.
Let’s talk about just blockchain (without the cryptocurrency). Blockchain, in its simplest terms, is nothing more than a distributed ledger. Think of it like a document that keeps track of the detailed truth of what happened and when. Now imagine that the document is kept up to date on thousands of computers and devices worldwide. This gives you security, making it very hard to tamper with the truth in that document, and making it impossible to delete the document because you cannot take down thousands of nodes that are all keeping it up to date. The document lists a series of blocks. Each block has a set of transactions or bits of historic truth about what happened between whom and when. Blocks of truth keep being added and every Node keeps the latest version.
The idea behind what a blockchain is, is a simple one, but to actually implement a blockchain is impressively complex. You have to maintain security of the system while punching through firewalls on thousands of devices to deliver the latest block. You want those nodes to let you in, but not any nefarious actor. And someone (some node) has to actually write what the next block will be. But what if that node is a bad actor? So you will need to have what is called consensus – a method for all the nodes in your blockchain system to agree on what the next block will be. And all of that voting and agreement needs to be automated. That is just the beginning. Your system needs to be able to withstand having a certain proportion of bad actors; yet you may not know or trust a single device. But you need a way to trust enough to make it all work.
In the corporate world, private blockchain networks (where you own all the device nodes) are a popular choice. It gives the illusion of control, and certainly does give a level of control that you would not have in a public network. But that does not mean you can be lax about security. Clients often think that they don’t need to handle trust issues in their private blockchain nodes. They own the nodes, so they are safe, right? Are they? Or did someone in your organization perpetrate a hack from the inside? Or maybe someone in your organization naively clicked on a link and unknowingly allowed malicious code into your private network and now you cannot trust any of your nodes. When it comes to the security of your blockchain nodes, the best bet is to not trust any of them and have security in place. So why all of this worry about security? We worry about security because your blockchain network will likely be tracking your most precious assets – your intellectual property, your research progress, your latest designs, your trade secrets, your employee information, payroll and more.
This is the future of blockchain. Blockchain is useful if you want decentralization, immutable history, and easy tracking. Any system that is currently centralized, or stovepiped, such as copyright, patents, intellectual property licensing, music, publishing, art markets, hiring, payroll, the engineering disciplines, financial reporting, and so many more, has the potential to be revolutionized using a blockchain system to avoid bottlenecks and significantly increase efficiency.
The time for this transformation is NOW. The technologies are mature, and society is ready. The technologies developed over the last decade for implementing blockchain projects are mature now, offering a lower barrier to entry for any company that might like to try it out. And society is ready to transform archaic systems into something more hands-off, automated, decentralized and efficient. Over the next two decades we will see blockchain concepts implemented across industries for all kinds of applications, reducing expenses while increasing reliable tracking and reporting. If you have thought about exploring a blockchain project for your company, send us a note. Let’s talk about the art of the possible.
